This is a four-day roadtrip including visits to Hadrian's Wall, Oxford University, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and more. Experience some of the most infamous sites of the UK. Collect your Wicked Camper from our depot in London and drop off in Edinburgh baby.
Driving out of London can be a nightmare right? Pick up your wheels from our depot in Waterloo and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Hop on the A4 motorway and head for the lush green countryside of Oxford.
Depending on traffic, it can sometimes take about two hours to escape the city. Cruise up through increasingly greener and calmer lands and arrive in Oxford, home to the world's oldest English-language college. Oxford is one of the most familiar cities in Britain, with its fine wide streets, noble buildings and iconic English pubs. Stroll around the city and recognise the famous backdrops from TV shows and movies such as Inspector Morse and Harry Potter.
There’s a lot of fun to be had on Oxford’s waterways. Whether you take a ride on a steamer or hire a punt for a relaxing cruise, the waterways are another attraction not to be missed.
Take the A44 for the 1½-hour drive to Stratford-upon-Avon. Discover Shakespeare's childhood town, hop on a city sightseeing bus, visit the elegant Royal Shakespeare Theatre or grab a skatie and check out the awesome local skatepark.Continue from Stratford-upon-Avon to Warwick, home to the impressive Warwick Castle. With a history dating back over 1,000 years, the castle will take you to an era of banquets, battles and royal splendor.
See the waxwork displays from Madame Tussauds, take in the incredible views from the top of the castle, witness the birds of prey show and head down into the ghostly dungeons for some spookish entertainment.
Take the M6 2½ hours north to one of England's most underappreciated churches, the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. It was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, the mastermind behind the iconic English red telephone booths.
The cathedral looks like it could belong in Gotham City, a true masterpiece with streamlined walls, a massive central tower and stretched arches. Interesting to know, it's where Paul McCartney premiered his first classical work, "The Liverpool Oratorio," in 1991.
A two-hour drive takes you into the scenic Lake District of Cumbria. The lakes here are truly breathtaking. Fancy a pint? Make sure you check out the Masons Arms, a gastro pub in Grange-Over-Sands, with a roaring fire place and rooms overlooking Windermere Lake.
Drive an hour north through the hills and lakes until you reach Blencathra. In my opinion, this is where the spirit of Scotland begins. Nearby is the infamoous Hadrian's Wall.
Park your Wicked Camper off the side of the road and hike up through the sheep fields onto the popular Striding Edge; where at the top, you'll be presented with incredible windswept views into Scotland.
A few hours' drive north through green hills and dramatic plains takes you into the Georgian heart of Edinburgh. Welcome to Edinburgh.
Whether it's dining at its legendary restaurants, sipping on a whisky, hitting the theatre or checking out the Old Town, there's plenty to keep you busy. Enjoy.
