Van Tour - from Belgium to Netherlands and 13 countries in between!
We started off with a bang, heading to Rockwerchter festival in Belgium to camp for 4 days and check out the likes of Lily Allen, The Killers, Coldplay, Kings of Leon and Oasis just to name a few. We had to cut the festival short and ditch the last day to drive to Pamps for Running of the Bulls opening ceremony. After cramming 5 girls into the van we rotated driving for...yes...18 hours. After a long drive and near collison with a deer, we made it to our campsite. After 4 days at a festival and almost a whole day in the van, all we wanted was showers! But there was no time, so we got dressed in our red and white and headed into town looking stunning! I needn't go into to much detail regarding Running of the Bulls...we've all been there, done that.

Next was Portugal, one of our faves. Apart from camping in a dustpit for 3 days, all was great. We accomplished our first beer bong of van tour (so we were a bit behind...we're girls), swam, baked, played beach ball, toured the grottos, checked out the nightlife, shopped, made some new friends and even got to watch QLD kick ass in the State of Origin (after telling the bar owner we'd buy drinks there all morning if he'd let us watch it)!

We exited Portugal and continued our exploration of Spain; covering Alicante, Barcelona, Cordoba, Granada, Isla Cristina, Las Negras, Platja d'Aro (where we all got matching tatts), San Pedro, San Sebastian, Seville, Valencia and Ibiza and Velilla de San Antonio. Las Negras was our favourite spot, we became friendly with the locals who owned the scuba diving shop and they took us out to San Pedros Island on a free boat trip.

France and Italy offered more gorgeous summer hang outs. We'd recommend Avignon to anyone, it beautiful. When it comes to Italian coasts, we preferred Cinque Terre to Amalfi, but they were both amazing.
Greece was a very friendly country with awesome, cheap gyros! The Islands do great cocktails. We had some adventures on Santorini; climbed a volcano, swam in hot springs, donkey ride, explored the island on 4 wheelers and stayed in some 6 Euro a night accommodation that had air-con!

Bulgaria was more amazing than we imagined. If anyone is considering going there, head to Veliko Turnovo and stay at Phoenix Hostel! We loved it there and didn't want to leave. The hostel owners are the coolest couple. We went on a bush walk, shopped, ate and dranks heaps...everything was so cheap in Bulgaria! Loved it!
Albania was a very pretty country by day...not so pretty by night. We did get a cheap van wash...1 Euro for 2 vans...bargain! We just did the drive through to get to Montenegro...yay, back to the coast!
Budva in Montenegro was so laid back, a very pretty coastal town with tasty seafood.
We wanted to stick to the coast after getting back to it, so we moved on to Slovenia, then Croatia. Lake Bled was very pretty and the white water rafting was pretty good too. Croatia was was amazing, it would have been nice to stay longer.
Almost coming to the end of the trip, we had to rush to Oktoberfest, which is a bit of a blur.

We ended van tour in one of the most entertaining cities in the world, Amsterdam and we're going to have to go back as not much exploring was done, just a whole lot of partying...
If you have the opportunity, do van tour! We highly recommend it to anyone with the cash, time and enthusiasm to pull it off!
