When In Floyd Van Tour
22 countries – 25,000km – 35L of Sangria – 3 Angry Coppers – And A Bloody Good Time….
I would never travel Europe any other way. Van Tour was the best/loosest time of our lives!
We travelled for 3 and a half months in Floyd and looking back we still can’t believe all the amazing things we got to see and do. Here are some of our highlights…………

SPAIN
To officially kick of Van Tour, it all began at Spain’s notorious Running Of The Bulls.
We arrived with severe hang overs as it was and were greeted with a plastic cup and rope to hang it around our neck… Let the festivities begin….
The Opening ceremony was crazy, definitely a must do on
the list. If you can only make one day of Running Of the
Bulls make it this one. The Spanish are awesome and sure
can drink! Don’t expect to come back in your whites…

PORTUGAL
Straight after running of the bulls we all convoyed to Portugal. Some of the most amazing beaches are here along with some handy free camping and awesome nightlife.

Horse riding in Portugal is also unreal. Apart from breathtaking beaches it also has acres of open bushland for learning to ride a horse.. or just laughing at their dicks...

ITALY
The Italians are the worst drivers in the world! Were still not sure how Floyd got out in one piece. Capri, Cinque Terra and The Amalfi Coast are a must see and of course Rome…Especially when your greeted with a convoy of vans.

GREECE
we didn’t take Floyd to Greece as it was cheaper just to leave him in peace for a while. Although He didn’t come on our journey, we still met up with other fellow van tour travellers. We started off in Ios then went to Santorini and finished with Paros. Ios was definitely the party island, no one, I mean no one sleeps and it is deserted during the day until about 3pm when everyone starts to party again all over the island. All the parties put aside, Ios was also our favourite island because of the amazing beaches, friendliest locals and endless dirt tracks for quad bikes….

PRAGUE
Prague is a beautiful place. You have to see the Prague Castle and the St Charles Bridge at sunset. We also did a free tour which was really interesting (doing a runner at the end of course). Prague is also home to a 5 story nightclub which is insane. Get some locals to show you where it is and you won’t be disappointed when you wake up remembering next to nothing!

OKTOBERFEST
We ended our Europe trip with Oktoberfest! Lets face it, we all come here to get the most smashed we’ve ever been. And we did so quite well. We only had 2 days here so we made the most of it. Oktoberfest is like the Easter Show on steroids. Beer halls, Horses, pretzels, rides, bar wrench’s and pork knuckles. We’ll leave it to the pictures….

Cheers,
Pat, Nikki and Floyd
