Logan & Michelle’s Van Tour 2009

Van tour is so easy and wicked in a Wicked camper. Within 20 minutes of arriving at the Wicked depot we were on the road and lost in London! GPS’s  are awesome devices except when they are set on pedestrian instead of automobile. So after driving around London dazed and confused for about three hours we realised our mistake and headed to Dover.

Bonjour Francis!! Watch out for the expensive tolls. But they do have good rest areas to crash in after a massive drive. Paris is a wicked happening place and after a massive day sightseeing, the cold beers go down like a treat, next thing you know your waking up the next day a bit hung. No time to rest back out there doing it, clocking up the miles by foot. From the history, scenery and wine in the North to the hoity toity places along the French Riviera and the Alps. France is wicked as it has all. Easy and safe to free camp everywhere. Topless chicks, hot guys and cheap wine, what more do you want?

Spain!! Pamplona must be seen to be believed, on hell of a party, one hell of a hangover! All from the champion free beer at the wicked campsite. White becomes purple at the massive opening ceremony. Tip, closed shoes at the opening ceremony and you own toilet paper everywhere you go, the toilets are an experience. Barcelona is an awesome city, Spain in general is pretty cheap. The hop-on-hop-off bus is good, it saves your feet a lot. Watch your pockets around these parts, heaps of slippery looking dudes. 

Monaco!! Some serious money in this little place! Our lap times weren’t the best, few pit stops on the way.

Switzerland!! Some of the best scenery we saw in Europe. Don’t worry about the no free camping crap, it’s all good and it’s nice and cool after bloody hot Spain. Heaps of lakes to wash in while you look at the snow covered mountains, you just gotta harden up a bit and get in.

Litchenstein!! What a shit hole!! But another country to add to the list.

Italy!! Hello to some smoking temperatures. Free camping in the north was sweet but you need the door open to sleep cause it’s so hot, so sleep with one eye open and a club in one hand. Cinque Terre offers some wicked scenery, especially by boat, don’t miss it. Pisa, leaning tower is cool but the rest is really quite shit. Rome is wicked, so much to see, the feet do get quite a thrashing though walking around. Once again watch ya pockets.

Greece!! Filthy dirty place that offers some of the best sights and things to do. The Greek isles are a must with the endless partying on Eos to the wicked sights on Santorini. Hire a scooter and thrash it round the islands. Some awesome food round the whole of Greece.

Slovenia!! Didn’t know much about it but we were pleasantly surprised, it was good to see greenery and meet some friendly people after being in Greece and Italy. Watch the Lipizzaners, they were awesome.

Croatia!! A diamond in the rough, and definitely our favourite place. The coast has to be seen to be believed. We spent all our days lying in the sun, swimming and drinking. Some awesome pubs along the water’s edge, heaps of eye candy as well. Cheap up the top round Split but pretty expensive around Dubrovnik. It was handy to know people on super yachts, especially when their boss is away....

Hungry!! Weather was a bit cold, almost drove back to Croatia for some sun! We parked in Budapest and ended up getting our wheel clamped and a 1400 Front fine. But thanks to a dodgy A & E dude who told the wardens that I was a patient at the A & E, compete with fake doctors certificate and all, away we went, Scott free!! Good old dodgy Eastern Europe!!

Slovakia!! Gypsy central! But some nice scenery.

Poland!! Krankow was wicked and funny to see the pro-communist people sticking to their beliefs and still walking cows down the road and crazing in horse and cart. Austwich - Birkineau truly is hell on earth, but it is a must to open the eyes.

Checz Rep!! Prague is a wicked place, with some awesome medieval buildings and pubs. If you like to shop, Prague sure is a dangerous place!

Germany!! Don’t remember everything about Oktoberfest or the hundred club, except the hundred club is the filthiest thing you’ll ever see. Oktoberfest is awesome except getting up at 5.00am opening morning hung over from the free beers at the Wicked campsite the night before. A hair of the dog sorts that out, cause it a long wait till 12.00pm for the first beers to be served in the tents. Don’t wear undies into the HB tent cause they won’t last long before they are hanging off the pig on the ceiling. A few days here is pretty tolling but what a better way to unwind than in Amsterdam.

The Netherlands!! We have never been to such good coffee shops or eaten so much after going to the Amsterdam coffee shops. KFC goes down real well. The sex shows here have to be done but we were more amazed/ disgusted by the old basted getting each other off a few rows in front of us.

Belgium!! Beer and chocolate, they are as good as each other. Bruges is a real nice place.  

Van tour 09..... What can we say? It was Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
