Stonehenge - the famous Neolithic period stone monument is located on the Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England. It is administered by English Heritage and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Another more extensive stone circle is located at Avebury. - While it is possible to be a stinge and park in the car park, cross the road on foot and look through the fence from the side of the road you'd probably be better off paying to get in.
